Abstract

The device comprises at least one spring clip which is pressed into an opening, and into which is pressed an object e.g. a joint cover. The cover has a fixing lug in the form of an I, the web (7) and flange (6) of which fit into the opening formed by the spring clips (12,13). Two projections (8,9) parallel to the web form grooves (10,11) into which the spring clip is pressed. The inner edges of the clips are saw toothed (14). The clips are essentially S- shaped with one end abutting the groove and the other abutting one of the edges of the joint. Pref. two opposing clips are used to exert equal and opposite forces on the web of the cover.
