Abstract
A jet of granular material forms the apertures in the plates in the drying out and firing phase. The porcelain is dried out until white, subjected to a pre-firing at 600 to 1100 degrees C, and finally subjected to a completion firing. It is perforated before enamelling and when of a prescribed hardness. The granular material may be glass balls of 40 to 250 microns pref. 85 to 150 microns in dia.
