Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé d'obtention de sulfate de calcium hémihydraté alpha , à partir de gypse et vise également le produit obtenu par ce procédé. Elle est caractérisée en ce qu'on opère la cuisson en voie sèche d'une poudre de gypse finement divisée, d'une granulométrie inférieure à 10 mm, ladite granulométrie étant de préférence inférieure à 6 mm, en atmosphère confinée sous une pression totale légèrement supérieure à la pression atmosphérique et comprise entre 0,1 et 0,5 bar, de préférence entre 0,2 et 0,3 bar. Elle se rapporte notamment à la fabrication du plâtre.
