Abstract

The transmission for an articulated vehicle, particularly a passenger vehicle includes a drive shaft between the rear mounted engine and the front mounted gear box. The shaft is supported by bearings mounted on a cross member (12) of one part of the vehicle and antoher (19) on the other part. Between them are two universal joints (22). Between these joints is a cross member (5) with a hinged connection (6) each end, permitting the member to swing about a horizontal axis (YY). In the line with this axis is another hinged connection with allows the two vehicle parts to swing about a vertical axis.
