Abstract

The thin-walled plastic bottle (1), in which at least one wall section is disposed biaxially in contrast to the neck (2), has a drum-shaped section (3). The lower part of this section is curved inwards in such a way that the smallest diameter is at its lower end, and it has a bottom (4) whose centre protrudes into the inside of the bottle in order to form a frustoconical depression (5). Formed between the edge of the depression and the lower end of the drum-shaped section is an annular surface which contacts the respective setting-down surface. Provided in the bottom (4) of the bottle are grooves (8) which extend radially substantially at the same distance from one another. To increase the strength of the bottom (4) of the bottle, walls (8b) are formed, which extend downwards from walls (8a) located above them.
