Abstract
The two-stroke engine intake system has two suction openings for a cylinder. The suction openings are opened and closed by a rotary shutter on or driven by the crankshaft. There are two suction openings (6) opened in succession, connected to two separate suction passages (8, 9) controlled by a common shutter (3). The mouths of these passages (11, 12) lead into the shutter housing (10), and are offset from each other for an angle in the direction of rotation of the shutter.
