Abstract

The float has an elongated shape which supports a fin and its attachment. The angles of the float may be varied. The float is joined by cables to a bar with two cables from the float and one cable from the bottom of the fin. The cables are attached to the hull of the vessel and to a point some way up the mast. The tension in the cables may be varied to trim the float. The submerged cables are fitted with swivels at the ends to prevent twisting due to the drag through the water.
