Abstract

A multiple nozzle (10) is produced from a single component for use in a gas-dynamic or chemical laser by spark-erosion. From a forged impervious metal block (13) the flow passages are rough-formed by means of milling cutters after which spark-erosion machines them to fine limits. Their surfaces are then smoothed to the finish limits by one or more electro-erosion operations, in one of which the nozzle neck is pierced, the hole diameter being smaller than the finished dimension.
