Abstract

The floor gulley for draining e.g. shower or bathing pool areas includes a removable siphon pot (5). The pot (5) houses a coaxial inlet pipe (6) to form the siphon, and can be removed from above or below depending on the gully detail. No tool is required to effect siphon pot (5) removal, and in all cases the top (9) of the siphon pot (5) locates above the invert of the gulley pot (2) outlet pipe (10). In the case of the siphon pot (5) which is removed from above, it is integrated with the inlet pipe (6) and grating (7), and the assembly is simply lifted out. In detail this gulley may comprise a gulley pot (2) with the top opening formed by a slideably adjustable flanged sleeve (3). The inlet pipe (6) has a flared mouth with edge seals (14) to the sleeve (3) wall, and is supported on the siphon pot by a radial plate (12).
