Abstract

A vessel for holding liquid under pressure has a removable lid. This mates with the top edge of the vessel. It is held in place by a number of angle cranked clamps which can be rapidly released. The lid can thus be fixed rapidly and safely in place. Vessel is used for very viscous liquids, esp. polysiloxane cpds. The pressure is used to move the liquid out of the vessel. It is not difficult to ensure a good seal with this design of closure.
