Abstract

An electrical cable connector is used to provide a tapping onto an existing cable. It has resistance to vibrations and is small in size. The connector, has a plastic body (11) with holes (2, 6, 8) and an insert (4). The existing cable (10) is fed through a hole in the body (11) and clamped by a pointed screw (9) breaking through its insulation (10c). The metal insert (4) provides connection for another cable (3). The conductor (6) of the second cable (3) is inserted into a hole (5) of the metal insert (4). The connector can be made- up of oner or more similar sets of parts to provide connection for one or more existing cables and tapings.
