Abstract

The fittings may be fixed to door support frames of diverse material and include a door strap (8) with integral axle (3) sleeve, a counter plate (11) for door mounting and a dormer plate (17,18) with integral axle sleeve (4). The geometry of the fittings enables the door (28) edge to house in the frame rebate (26), and locates the hinge axis (3) at the open end of the rebate and offset inside the vertical edge (29) of the door. The dormer plate is of 'L' shape in horizontal cross section. One leg (17) has two holes for screw (21) fixing to the support frame, and the other leg (18) terminates in the axle sleeve (4). The composite plate (17,18,4) has a rectangular elevation with the screw holes aligning vertically.
