Abstract

The slide is intended for recreational use and fits over the side of a ship or boat. It is in the shape of an elongated S, its upper end resting over the ship's rails and the lower end floating on the sea. It has rounded tubular sides with the central flat portion covered with a low friction material. The slide can be inflated and, after sliding down, users, climb back up one of the sides. For this purpose, footholds are fitted into each tubular side. A cord is also provided to act as a handhold and also secure the slide.
