Abstract

The double entry door lock has a rotating barrel (1, 2) on either side of the lock. The barrels have an internal configuration of longitudinal slots which only allow insertion of the correct key. An L-shaped wedge (7) has lateral movement and may prohibit the movement of the lock mortice (12), but is sprung (13) so that it normally allows free mortice movement. When a special key (3) with a central protruding sprung pin (15, 18) is left in the inside keyhole, the L-shaped block remains in the mortice locking position and prevents opening of the lock from the outside.
