Abstract

The ski boot consists of an injection moulded sole (4), upper (3) and collar (9). An L-shaped metallic stiffener (5), which has a curved section, is put in place during the moulding int he centre of the centre of the sole and up the back of the heel. The front of the stiffener is shaped to fit the curve of the sole. The other extremity (8) of the stiffener is bent over (8a) to position the collar when it is put in place on the upper. The collar has at least one opening, at the back, in which the stiffener engages to hold the collar in place.
