Abstract

Paper-bonding agent is prepd. by reacting starch of PVA with a cpd. of formula (I)-(III): (where R is H, CH3, or a hydrophobic alkyl or alkylcarbonyl group; and Y is a polyamino group). The bonding agent has good compatibility with rosin (used as internal bonding agent) and starch (used as surface bonding agent). It improves the properties of these prods. and is relative cheap.
