Abstract

The belt (2), on a frame (11), passes over a driving roller (4) at the lower end and a return roller (3) at the upper end. Each roller has a convex profile and an antiskid covering. The tubular cover (1) fits over the belt and may be closed or open underneath. Brackets on the tube carry transverse supports (8) for the empty return section of the belt. A hopper (9) receives the product, the belt assuming curved shape when loaded so that the edges only touch the cover. Guides and guide rails are provided to prevent tracking. Elevators can be used singly, in tandem or joined together.
