Abstract

The gas turbine comprises a combustion chamber into which compressed air flows. The air is mixed with fuel from a fuel supply system to achieve combustion. A mixer is provided in which water is added to the fuel flow and turbulently mixed with it to form an emulsion before entering the combustion chamber. The mixer pref. comprises a rectangular T-connection in the fuel supply line with a first inlet for the fuel flow and a second inlet for the water flow. The arrangement reduces the emission of NOx cpds. by reducing the temp. to which the air is heated by combustion of the fuel.
