Abstract

A propulsive charge for a projectile, missile or rocket is provided with longitudinal elements on its surfaces; the elements are inclined along the longitudinal axis so as to cause the projectile to rotate about that axis. They are made of an inhibiting material, pref. by moulding. Problems associated with divergent vanes are avoided. These problems include increased weight, complexity of mfr, high cost and the need for protection against erosion and temp.
