Abstract

The water operated gas valve for e.g. an instantaneous heater has an upper and lower shell (17, 18) with a membrane (1) between, forming two water chambers (2, 3). The water flow regulating valve (8) slides inside the sleeve (11) and is actuated by the spring (9). The valve extension piece operates against the diaphragm. The rod (22) on the upper side of the diaphragm connects with the gas valve (23). The gas is admitted through the inlet passage (25). The valve is located by the spring (24). The water valve plate (14) has a bleed hole (15) which operates at low flows. At high flows the valve is opened and water flows through the hole (16).
