Abstract

Non-combustible composite insulating materials consist of a core layer with low density and, applied on both sides, cover layers with high density and high mechanical strength. The heat-insulating core layer contains inorganic lightweight particles and the cover layers contain inorganic or organic fibres which in each case are bonded by heat-resistant organic binders. The insulating materials can be used as construction elements.
