Abstract

Artificial firewood logs made from sawdust bound by paraffinic waxes from petroleum extracts are provided at one or both ends with wicks. The wicks can readily be ignited by a match and serve to ignite the log without applying an external flame against the log surface logn enough for direct ignition.
