a. Installation de mesure de la teneur en liquides des réservoirs ou citernes; b. Caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend un instrument proprement dit de mesure ou de lecture à colonne liquide et un tube de sondage immergé dans le liquide à mesurer le contenu dans le réservoir ou citerne en question, pour effectuer la lecture et/ou la mesure en fonction de l'équilibre hydrostatique que l'on peut établir entre les poids des colonnes liquides respectives, déplacées dans l'instrument de mesure et dans le tube de sondage, une liaison permanente ayant lieu entre les deux colonnes; c. Dispositif pour une mesure à distance en continu du contenu de réservoirs.
