Abstract

The column of loudspeakers has frequency-independent directional characteristics. The opening in the box for the treble loudspeaker (3) is rectangular with its longer axis parallel to the longer axis of the box. If several treble loudspeakers are present their rectangular openings are vertically adjacent. The remaining loudspeakers (2) have circular openings. The overlap frequency between the bands covered by the two sets of loudspeakers is related by a specified inequality to the width (a) of the rectangular opening.
