Abstract

The ladder has uprights (1) made from an oval tube which has a longitudinal groove (12) on the exterior, which is delimited by two lips (17) and a base (7) which is offset from the rest of the tube by lateral shoulders (9a, 9b). The upright is provided with holes at a set spacing along its length which allow the insertion of the rung (5), the groove also being provided with holes to allow insertion of a countersunk fixing screw (4). The rung presses against the internal face (11) of the upright but because the groove is set off spaces (10a, 10b) are left between the rung and the bottom of the groove. These allow the placing of a cover (3), for the screw head, or pieces for a joint, under the lips of the groove.
