Abstract

The low-loader vehicle is for the transport of glass sheet, having a semi-trailer with two or more axles and a low-level platform accommodating a standard glass sheet transport frame. At the level of the platform (10) there are two nonsteering axles (7, 8) whose wheels are to the sides of the platform, and to the rear of these axles is a third, steering axle (9). The non-steering axles may be fixed cranked ones. The design keeps the axle loading to a level where special permission is not required to travel on public roads.
