Abstract

An anti-theft device for securing a motor cyclist's helmet to the machine consists of a frame fitted over the helmet and locked by the steering lock of the machine when the cycle front fork is moved to its locking position. This frame consists of a set of rods enclosing the helmet and hinged at one end so that the helmet can be inserted and removed, and attached to a plate near the hinge point so that it can be locked when the handlebars have been moved to the locked position and the locking device operated. In an alternative design hook shaped locking member passes through a hole through the helmet, and engages the steering lock.
