Abstract
A hovercraft and suspension for land or sea movement. The main structure is an inflatable boat for cylinders (2) and a rigid deck (3). At the rear is a platform (4) mounted over the end of the inflatable boat (5) and a tubular framework (6) supporting an engine (7) and three bladed propellor (8). There are also steering vanes (10) and another vane (11) for vertical trim or draught. The engine is a light car type of about 30 kw. There is a second engine (14) driving a fan (13) in a housing (12). This supplies air inside the skirt which is shaped specially in sections and hinged. The supply can be regulated for vehicle control.
