Abstract

The unloading mechanism (23) is capable of moving up and down along the cable (24E) which is operated from the end mechanism (30). This is fitted beyond the rows of stores (20) so that it is independent of the row. The unloader may then be moved from one corridor to another before being re-connected to travel along a chosen corridor. The unloader (23) is also capable of moving vertically in each of the corridors to cover the height of each store row.
