Abstract

The mat is composed of alternate strips of rubber and brush material of roughly the same height. The rubber and brush strips are clamped between two supports of lesser height and of stiff plastic, and extend past them both at the top and the bottom. Each support consists of two strips joined by cross-pieces permanently, and they are attached to each other by pins passing through rubber and brush strips between adjacent supports. The brush strips can be secured to flexible adhesive strips before assembly. The rubber strips can be protrude past the supports at the ends.
