Abstract

A printing machine has two parallel cylinders (1) and (3). The pressure cylinder (3) has a cover (8) on which the stereo plate (2) on cylinder (1) can form a print and which will transfer this print to the sheet. The machine cylinder makes two revolutions for each sheet printed; the first revolution transferring the image to the pressure cylinder cover (8) the second revolution printing the sheet on both sides as it passes between cylinders (1) and (2). Stereo plate cylinder (1) can be replaced by the blanket cylinder of an offset machine. The pressure cylinder cover may be rubber and the printed sheets may be illuminated from behind.
