Abstract

The rectangular container is for metal pieces and is folded from a single corrugated cardboard blank. The blank has a rectangular base (1) with a rear wall (2) and a top (4); the top carrying an edge flap (5) with a lip (6). The sides of the rear wall are extended by flaps (7), (7') and end flaps (8), (8'). The front of the base carries of wall (3) which includes a generally U shaped end flap (12) and a partially cut out tongue (14). The sides of the base have a series of side flaps (9), (9'), (10), (10'), (11), (11') and when assembled the flaps are overlapped to form double or triple thickness walls. The tongue (14) and lip (6) engage when the lid is closed, the flap (5) entering between the folded front flap (12) and (3).
