Abstract
A motor generator is made with three interacting parts. A fixed outer coil (17) is mounted on the inside of a case (10) and inside this is an annular solid ring (20) which may be coated on both sides with ferrite (29) and a fixed inner coil is mounted on a non-rotating axle (25). The solid ring (20) rotates on a bearing (26) on this non-rotating axle and at the other end in a bearing (28) passing through the case. Mechanical output is available on this external shaft (5). One of the coils suffices to drive the rotor, which in turn induces current into the outer coil giving a motor generator relation between the two coils. Part of the electrical output could be fed back to control the motor speed, etc. Internal fans (23, 24) are fitted to the rotor end discs.
