Abstract
Heat or mass exchanger comprises (a) a housing, in which a stack of thermoplastic components provided with >=2 channels is placed, with the ends of the stack prevented from moving; (b) a set of films contained in each of the thermoplastic components, spaced by a series of parallel ribs to produce channels between the films and between the ribs, for the passage of a first medium; (c) corrugations provided in the channel-contg. components between their ends, these of adjacent components crossing each other to space them apart and to form a channel for a second medium which is in a condition to exchange heat or mass with the first medium; and (d) inlets and outlets on the housing for the first and second media resp.
