Abstract

The novel polypeptide obtd. from ovine pancreas is of formula- NH2-Ala-Ser-Leu-Glu-Pro-Gln-Tyr-Pro-Gly-Asp-Asp-Ala-Thr-Pro-Glu-G- ln-Met-Ala-Gln-Tyr-Ala-Ala-Glu-Leu-Arg-Arg-Tyr-Ile-Asn-Met-Leu-Th- r-Arg-Pro-Arg-Tyr-CONH2, and those from human pancreas, are of formula: NH2-Ala-Pro-Leu-Glu-Pro-Val-Tyr-Pro-Gly-Asp-Asp-Ala-Thr-Pro-X-Gln- -Met-Ala-Gln-Tyr-Ala-Ala-X-Leu-Arg-Arg-Tyr-Ile-Asn-Met-Leu-Thr-Ar- g-Pro-Arg-Tyr-CONH2 (where one of the X gps. is Glu and the other is Asn). They are prepd. as described in the parent patent.
