Abstract

A rod is used to connect the opening portion of the window and the fixed frame and has a knob at its end which slides in a guiding groove in the opening portion and has its axis perpendicular to that of the flat faces of the rod, which is of broad flat section to fit between the frame members. At the other end of the rod a knob sticks out on the other side of the rod from the first knob, and engages in a guide rail in the fixed frame. The groove in the opening part of the window is inclined and acts as an inclined plane when the rod is moved.
