Abstract

An automatic detergent dispenser for a washing machine has pref. a fixed container for receiving powdered detergent, and is provided with a drainage hole through which the powder can be fed into the washing machine by water from a feed duct, and pref. a removable container which can be superimposed on the fixed container. The removable container is pref. clipped to the fixed container by resilient tongues and receives the liq. detergent which can be fed into the washing machine via siphon pipe connected to it. The removable container is only used when it is reqd. to use liquid detergent, and ensures that the liq. detergent does not drain into the washing machine before it is reqd.
