Abstract
The heat pump circulates a medium between a cold and a hot heat source spaced apart from each other, the circuit incorporating a compressor for the medium in gaseous form supplying a condenser exchanging heat with one of the sources. From this the cooled medium passes to an expansion unit, delivering to a vapouriser exchanging heat with the other source, and which is connected to the compressor inlet. There is also a heat exchanger having a cooling passage handling part of the compressed and partly condensed medium, and whose inlet is connected to the condenser outlet, while the outlet is connected to the expansion unit inlet.
