Abstract

New polyribonucleotides comprise simple chains of 20 to 80 ribonucleotide units, in which there is an excess of purine bases compared with pyrimidine bases. They are used for treatment of tumours, and as antiviral agents, and are prepd. by degradation of ribosomal ribonucleic acid by ribonucleases, pref. those which leave intact the quanine-adenine links, and fractionation of the prod.
