Abstract
Flexible pipe protected against corrosion, consisting of a tubular core covered by at least one elongated metal reinforcing element, and an outer sleeve providing mechanical protection and provided with perforations. The novelty is that the pipe contains at least one continuous, elongated cathodic protection element made from at least one metallic material and including at least one metal from among Zn Al and Mg, this element being located between the core and the sleeve along the entire length of the pipe and in the immediate vicinity of the reinforcing element, to which it is connected both ends of the pipe. Several pref. designs are included in the claims. Flexible pipes contg. liq. or gas which may be under pressure, such as a hydrocarbon, the pipe being used e.g. under the sea or underground.
