Abstract

The frame can be used as a sub-frame lining to a window opening, or as the frame of a pre-assembled window unit, and has mountings and a plastering guide groove which also receives a masking moulding. The frame constitutes head, sill and jamb members. A slot (4) houses a timber board so that the profile may be nail or screw fixed to the sub-structure and a slot (8) constitutes an edge guide for plaster screeding and to locate a masking moulding (11). During plastering a filler moulding is temporarily lodged in slot (8) to prevent plaster ingress during this phase. In the case of jamb members slots (4) can be used to house roller blind gear.
