Abstract

A cartridge-type filter employs a flexible plastic ring to both seal in the base of the containing chamber and to locate and seal the filter canister. It is also shaped to locate a flexible washer which acts as a non-return valve on the fluid inlet. Used in automobile oil filter applications.
