Abstract

A modulator has a chamber (20) which contains a cylinder (21) and which is fitted with two input orifices (23, 24) connected by pipes (14, 15) to the output orifices of the cylinder of the ram. The cylinder (21) closes and opens the orifices in a differential manner between a first extreme position and a second extreme position. In the first position one orifice is totally open whilst the other is at least partially closed. In the second position the reverse conditions apply. The chamber also has two fluid output orifices, the valve being either linked to a measuring instrument or fitted with a manually operated element.
