Abstract

The die head arrangement accommodates different cutting dies and has a radially orientated tubular steel handle which is connected to the die head, is covered over the major part of its length with a sleeve made especially from a polimerised plastics. This material can be injection moulded or pressed around the tubular handle. The thickness of the plastics sleeve is preferably three to six millimetres. The cylindrical sleeve has at least two parallel flat locating side faces parallel with the end faces of the die head, which is also covered on its circumference with a covering, made from polimerised plastics. This plastics covering of the die arrangement is especially comfortable to use in very cold weather due to the low thermal conductivity of the plastics.
