Appts. for supplying additives, e.g. pigments, to a plastics injection moulding machine has a funnel-shaped hopper for the additive, a feed screw with one end placed below the discharge aperture of the hopper, a motor for driving the feed screw, a tube enclosing the screw and provided with a discharge tube for supplying the additive to the main hopper of the machine, and a control circuit for coordinating the operation of the screw driving motor with the main motor of the machine. The appts. is easily operated and controlled it does not consolidate or agglomerate the additive granules, and it can be operated continuously for long periods. Supply of small amts. of additive satisfactorily effected.
