Abstract

Folded cardboard tray for vegetables etc. formed from a single sheet, assembled by glueing or otherwise attaching simple flaps. The tray comprises a rectangular base (11), longitudinal sides (12) and ends (14), joined by fold lines (13, 15). A branched slot (23) forms flaps (28, 17) respectively on the sides and ends. The flaps (17) on the ends (14) have two fold lines (18, 20), the base line (18) being nearer the longitudinal centre line of the sheet than the lateral fold lines (13). The box is assembled by folding up the sides, the flaps (17) being folded inwards to form diagonal corner pieces, and the sides turned up so that the other flaps (28) can be turned round the ends, the assembly being glued or clipped together.
