Abstract

An appts. for turning over compost heaps comprises a turning or tedding roll mounted in a transportable portal fram and having a swivelling gear and power attachment at each end of the shaft. A transversely pivotal tow-bar is attached to the middle of the frame, for coupling to a tractor pulling the machine from the side (in echelon); the tractor may have a power take-off for coupling to one end of the shaft. The frame pref., has a plate at the back, for shaping the heap to an apex.
