Abstract

In the principal patent, a viewing head was described which contained four horizontal axis wide angles lenses and a series of prisms to record a 360 degree panorama by cine camera. This addition shows the prisms replaced by coherent optical fibre bundles, one for each lens (2) and a further lens (12) with a vertical axis included to provide full hemispherical coverage. The fibre bundles may be twisted so that the images formed on the film all have the orientation. Time signals may be recorded on the film and provision may be made for conversion of infra-red to visible light and for light amplification for night time use. The images may also be transmitted to a close circuit T.V. system and recorded magnetically.
