Abstract

The base (1), of plastic, is divided into two unequal compartments (3, 4), the upper (3) being the larger and containing the product. The lower compartment (4) is the stand and has moulded into the separating wall (2) a long central peg (13) and a group of shorter pegs (14) around it. The top (7), of metal or plastic, has several shaker holes (11, 12) in it of the same configuration as the pegs. A rebate (6) in the rim (5) locates the top and studs (9) hold it firm. When one shaker is stacked on top of another, the pegs in the base of the upper shaker penetrate the holes in the top of the lower shaker and form a seal.
