Abstract

The packs of sheets are placed in the lower half (4) of a mould up to the level of the central pack (5) of the core. The second half (12) of the mould is then placed onto the first half so as to have a clearance (15) between the two halves (4, 12). The last two packs needed to complete the core are placed by sliding them under the top mould (12). The two half-moulds are then clamped and the lower transverse core of the magnetic circuit is bolted into place. The magnetic circuit thus assembled can then be inclined so the sheets move into vertical positions and the mould halves are removed and an upper transverse core placed on the sheets after windings have been formed.
